February 10, 2012 - Over the last 8 years, the East Coast Fusion program in Virginia has evolved from a program that catered to the needs
of the greater Charlottesville community, to a program that reaches players and families throughout the state as well as Washington DC, West
Virginia and North Carolina. "If someone told me back in 2004 that we would have players and coaches willing to travel upwards of 3 hours to
come to workouts and practices, I would have laughed" said Program Director Cade Lemcke.
"I'm shocked that the program has grown like this. If feels good to know that there is something of value here, something that people are willing to
commit to regardless of how far down the road they are. God had a plan for this program and I'm excited to see where He continues to lead us."
For the spring of 2012, the East Coast Fusion program will host its weekly Development Workouts in three different cities to continue helping young
players in Virginia develop their game and maximize their potential. Every Tuesday night, workouts will be held at Charlottesville High School
(Charlottesville, VA), Rustburg High School (Lynchburg, VA) and Big Ben's House (Richmond, VA).
Fusion coaches will run the workouts in all three locations, using a detailed curriculum that has been developed over the years. Workouts are open to
players in 7th - 12th grade. There is no charge for the workouts, but players will need to fill out an insurance waiver (to be signed by their
parents). Workouts will start in early March and the information can be found on the website's homepage.
